Board Games for Game Night

a group of people playing a board game

Get ready for game night! In today’s Rumney Flats Blog, we are highlighting a few of our favorite board games that are perfect for playing with a group of friends in the comfort of your apartment. Invite a few friends over to your Revere, MA apartment and enjoy making memories and enjoying each other’s company!

Settlers of Catan

This game allows you to take the role of a settler establishing colonies. Your main purpose is to build settlements, cities, and roads using the resources that are available to you. Ultimately, you want to accumulate 10 victory points. Settlers of Catan allows for you to barter and trade all that you need to achieve your goals. You can be sneaky or honest, but that’s really up to you! This game is great for three to four players and takes approximately 45 to 90 minutes!

Pandemic

Work together with your friends to save the world from four deadly diseases that have been released. Experience the intense cooperative gameplay that Pandemic has to offer. Rather than pitting players against each other, players need to rely on each other to achieve their main goal of curing all the diseases. Choose between several roles (dispatcher, medic, scientist, researcher, or operations expert) and coordinate the best moves on your turns to prevent the diseases from spreading!

Cranium

Match wits with your friends in a competitive board game that exercises your whole brain! As you play, you will encounter challenges or tasks grouped into categories: Creative Cat, Word Worm, Data Head, and Star Performer. These tasks are meant to test your capabilities in their respective categories. Do well and you’ll be able to proceed forward. Lose and your opponents get to move!
